Audience effects theory

 1) a passive audience passively take in information from the media and that these messages have the same effects on everyone

2) An active audience is the more modern view that audiences interact with media and make conscious choices regarding the media they consume

3) The hypodermic needle theory suggests that audiences are always passive and therefore take the intended meaning from the producers as if it was injected into their minds

4) information/surveillance: the times newspaper

because it tells audience important information about politics, the world and more

Identity: Never have I ever

because it can be relatable to teenagers since its set in a high school

diversion/entertainment: Fantasy film: Eternals

because it helps the audience take a break from the real world and immerse themselves in a fake world

relationships: Reality tv: Keeping up with the Kardashians

because you care about the celebrities and want to see what they do

5)Information/Surveillance because the audience is learning about the different animals and taking in new information of facts about the animals that they didn't know already

Relationships because the audience starts to care about the animals and feel connected to them

Diversion/Entertainment because being entertained away from your normal life can make the audience forget about all their troubles in real life and just focus on what they are watching
